I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been working in the mental health field for more than 5 years. I have always known that I wanted to work in a helping profession, and my interest in the field was solidified when I worked at a residential facility for youth with mental health, substance use and behavioral concerns.  I have experience working with families and individuals who experience depression, mood, anxiety, adjustment disorders and behavioral concerns. I am particularly passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and their families.

My current job at Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC), within the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Juvenile Justice Collaborative, provides me the opportunity to implement therapeutic and care coordination services to youth and families involved in the Cook County Juvenile Justice System. In this position, I work to support my clients in navigating the many systems in which they are a part of.

Prior to joining TASC, I worked at Thresholds in the Northside Housing Program as a Community Support Specialist. This position focused on individual and group therapeutic services, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and case management. I gained extensive training and experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. I have also worked in a community based mental health center providing outpatient therapy to children, adults and families presenting with varied psychosocial stressors, and diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.I graduated from Loras College with a Bachelors in Psychology. I went on to earn a Masters in Social Work from The Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

In my practice, I use a variety of modalities which incorporate best practice from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. I believe in a strengths based approach that is holistic and guided by the individual needs of each client. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can share and process your experiences, build upon current strengths, explore new solutions, and find meaning and balance in your life.
